International Women's Day, Ngozi Adeleke Celebrates women in Osun State | Southwest First Alert Magazine 


ADDRESS BY THE FIRST LADY OF OSUN STATE, HER EXCELLENCY, ERELU NGOZI ABENI ADELEKE, COMMEMORATING THE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATION

1. Good women of Osun State, my name is Erelu Ngozi Abeni Adeleke, wife of the executive governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator (Dr) Ademola Jackson Nurudden Adeleke. I am honoured to address you today as the First Lady of Osun State and to congratulate us all especially on the occasion of International Women's Day as we come together to emphasise our commitment to the theme for this year: _"Invest in women: Accelerate progress."_


2. In Osun State, we recognise the indispensable role that women play in shaping the trajectory of our society. We salute your resilience, strength and achievements. We acknowledge your invaluable contributions to the state. Today, I stand before you not only as a leader but as an advocate for the growth and development of the women in the State of the Living spring
3. Without mincing words, our administration is dedicated to implementing strategic initiatives that empower women across various sectors. From education to healthcare and economic opportunities, we are working tirelessly to create environment where every woman can thrive.

4. Through collaborative efforts with governmental bodies, NGOs and private enterprises, we aim to continuously facilitate programs that address the unique challenges faced by women in Osun State. We are also committed to investing in women's education, health and economic well-being, providing women in Osun State with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive. By doing this, we strongly believe we can accelerate progress not only for women but also for our dear state.
5. As we commemorate this International Women's Day, I want to call upon all stakeholders to join hands in creating more environment where women can achieve their full potential. Together, we can create lasting change and contribute to the overall advancement of Osun State.

6. Let us collectively work towards a future where the investment in women becomes a cornerstone for speedy progress and development. Let us stand united in our efforts to invest in women, creating a future where every woman can soar to new heights.
