JUST IN: Sanwo-Olu Elected S/West Governors Forum Chairman | Southwest First Alert Magazine
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been elected as the new chairman of the Southwest Governors Forum.
The governor was elected on Monday at the forum’s meeting in Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu will now fill the position which has remained vacant since December 2023, following the death of former Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, who led the forum until his death.
Akeredolu died on December 27, 2023 at a German hospital where he was receiving treatment.
Aside Sanwo-Olu who was the host, the Monday’s meeting had in attendance Governors Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Ademola Adeleke of Osun, and Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti state.
